Composition exam

In the first photograph, the photographer is using ruel of thirds by taking the photo of the center of interest so that the person is off to the side with a few other center of intrests in the picture, by placing him and a house one of the four connecting corners of the lines when you are to place your ruel of thirds lines.

in the second photograph the photographer is using ruel of thirds in a different way. They made it so that you focas on the wood in the water but your eyes are also drawn to the beautiful mountain that makes a background as well as the reflaction it is casting on the water, creating more than one center of interest.

In the third photograph he is creating a ruel of thirds by using a bird and a person as the main focusus as well as the blured background to create more than one center of interest.

I Alyssa Scherk will be creating a page for the yearbook with the title “ find yourself”. This page will include seven images which will reflect the difficulties of a new student coming into an unfamiliar school and dealing with the frustrations of the first few days. I will set up these photos and direct my friends during am lunch and after school to illustrate such events as finding my locker, getting bumped around in the hallways, finding my bus, too many books, making new friends, lunch problems etc. I will use my friends scenery, nature, and will photograph these situations with them and with their consent. I plan to have these images by__________.

"A" assingment, September lights.

For this "A" assignment, i decided to use the ray's from the sun as my leading lines, drawing attention to the trees in the front row that i made the viewer focus on by using a duotone to balance out the colours and blured out the background so that line of trees stood out more, ending up with an "A" assignment by using leading lines, protocals and a duotone for a picture perfect moment.

leading lines

This assignment was an example of using the quick mask mode, the reason why we use the quick mask is to help draw attention to the forground.

duotone

duotone is used to put more focus on the desired subject.
I used duotone to make the picture contain only two colours. Then the blur tool to blur out the background slightly so
that the center of interest stands out more than the rest of the picture.

Layers- correction. sept 21.

layers and correction is used to make a picture more dramatic.
you take a picture that is dull and boring and you use the burn and dodge tool to make the sky and clouds stand out and the mountains darker as well as the ground more contrasted
it makes it look darker in some areas and lighter in others.
in the end the picture looks alot more interesting and dramatic.

leading lines. sept 21.

leading lines helps to bring out the main focus of the picture,
using multiple lines that lead to your center of interest.
when you look at a picture and there are a lot of lines leading to your center of intrest,
your eyes are drawn to it. I went over all of the lines that lead to the objects in the red circle with red to show you the exact lines that help the focus on the center of intrest.
